Australia’s Best Credit Cards for 2026: Finder Reveals Top Picks
Finder has released its top picks for 2026 for Australians who are looking for the best credit cards. Now, they have new guidance. The annual Finder Credit Card Awards analysed numerous cards to assist many users in making smart choices based on value and benefits. Read below to learn more about!
A total of 73 different banks and brands were reviewed for the awards of 247 credit cards. Graham Cooke, a consumer researcher at Finder, explained that the main motive was to show which cards offer long-term benefits, not just short-term deals. He said, “We’ve done the work so you can easily see which credit cards are the top performers for your needs.”
The largest winner was ANZ, which also won the Provider of the Year title and the best balance transfer card, rewards card, and Qantas frequent flyer card. NAB and American Express both took home three honors.
American Express was notable for its Qantas Business Rewards Card, which was rated the best business frequent flyer credit card, and its Velocity Platinum Card, which was named the best Velocity frequent flyer card.
Leading the business category, NAB received recognition for its small business rewards card, business frequent flyer credit card, and low-rate business card.
Taking the top rank in both the best no annual fee credit card and no annual fee rewards credit card categories, Kogan Money was acknowledged for providing robust options without an annual fee.
With its Breeze Platinum Mastercard, which received the travel credit card award and best card with no foreign transaction fees for the eighth consecutive year, Bankwest preserved its standing in the travel industry.
In addition to examining each card’s features and pricing, Finder’s awards also took customer satisfaction scores into account. Only Bankwest’s Breeze Platinum Mastercard took home two medals this year, demonstrating how many cards are designed to cater to particular user types.
G&C Mutual Bank, ANNA Money, St. George, BankSA, and Bank of Melbourne were among the other winners. After closely examining hundreds of data points from every product, Finder verified that winners are selected based on constant quality rather than merely transient discounts.
